My take on India

Inu is 5 today and been about 5days since our return from a 5week splendid vacation in India. She is a bit sick but hope she recovers soon from travellers syndrome as coined by her doc.

She is a age where she observes n defines India.. She says mama, why does India only have GO sign, while were crossing the busy roads ..... she puts it so aptly about vehicles n pedestrians in India.......

Looking at all the posters in the city.. She said mama I see Narendar Missed everywhere ..... lots of dada's friends

Hot dogs for me

John Morgan Park in Campbell was quite a find, referred to by my vietnam veteran colleague. Discovering the 6 seater dancing sled, blue rope built ladder and all the local maccu/kallu kids in the neighborhood was a bliss!!! away from the "stop", "be careful" noises u hear at the park ....kids rolling in sand, the older kids taking care of younger ones and the parents playing cards and bbq...


Every time we discover the simplistic aspect of the park, the mobile ice-cream shop, the bridge over San Thomas and this past week the water-park....sprays all around the circular rings, inu was joyous and was wet over and over again, quite a blast!

Now this time "diddam" as inu refers to boo as, discovered the park facilitated small store that sells hot dogs. Diddam literally bought (as they say buyed) the hot dogs all by herself and said will share with inu. Inu was hungry ravaneously and to make a point to have the entire one she said, she was "cold" and hence needed the entire "hot" dog ......hahhahahha hilarious, aint it?

Princess Laia from StarWars

Inu always wants to follow boo and pretend and choose characters she wants to be. She always chooses the more girly character which is so "unlike" her. For eg: she is the "older" sister in frozen who is elegant and super girly and boo be the yonger sister who is is the tom-boy.

On similar lines, she wants to be "princess laia" and when mama asks "Why do u want to be princess laia"? she says mama coz "she lays people down":) ......think she meant she slays people!

Playing with soft-toys dont cut it..

Inu at my friends home which aint frequented by little kids yet asks to play with toys. She brings out all her soft toys. Inu is thrilled and is playing with them for a bit. She then comes back and asks my friend - "Don't u have any hard toys for me to play with" ?

Luckily her hubby found the marbles used as a decoration in a vase and gives it to her .... but wow I could have not called other as "hard toys"...

Bathtime with Browny,the dog

Evening Bath-times! Inu loves to bring in her soft cuddly toys to shower with her. After her shower she brings me her soaky browny and I am so upset about this dripping toy and scream "Inu, whose gonna dry this browny" and I move on to do my usual chores in the kitchen.

She comes back after sometime and hands me browny and says "Here mama he is all dry". She spends the last 10 minutes plugging in my hair dryer and drying the browny... Even at 3, she aint intimidated plugging an instrument in the socket and making it work!  Is she clueless about the dangers of electricity? OR the engineer in her budding?

The logical thinker AND cinnamon toast crunch

Wow, my first blog for inu!!!  I had promised myself to blog all about boo and guess life was too busy to even save these lil memories for my girlus... Inu is 4 now, but hope ill have enuf posts to last them a life-time for her.

One of the usual working mornings and  breakfast time. Inu asks for her sugary cinnamon toast crunch cereal that she is so fond of. Me being in this super healthy/low-carb mode, say "u girlies should not be eating such sugary breakfast"

The logical thinker responds - "Ma, if you do not want to us to eat it, then why do you buy it"...........
